Drop ’10 Swiss show & Gallery Update

Saturday, July 10th, 2010

While I haven’t posted much for a bit, things have been going crazy here. Some new art is in the gallery for you to check out. One of which was shown in Switzerland for the Drop ’10 show! Below is a pic of it hanging up and one of its position in the gallery (its the one on the far wall just poking out from behind the woman in the back, see it?)

There are a few extra exciting things happening at the moment, one of which is the new Chops ‘n Bobbers show at Kustom Lane Gallery at the start of August. The others are hush hush for the moment, more will be reveled when they come into fruition!

Until then, horns up!

Gallery update!

Saturday, April 10th, 2010

Well I’ve been a busy mofo over the past few months, manic at work and new artworks for some exhibitions have kept me away.

In an attempt to make up for it, I’ve updated the gallery with my new personal works. Three of which were shown at Kustom Lane during march for the ‘California Screaming Down-Under’ Show. The ‘partner’ show to the gasoline galleries ‘California Screaming’ show with is opening in may.

Next time I’ll be back real soon with some process pics, a new pic and news of an overseas showing!

Chops n Bobbers opening day went off!

Sunday, July 26th, 2009

Hi all,

The Chops n Bobbers opening day down at Kustom Lane was awesome! There was a pretty huge turn out, with a couple of bike clubs rocking up and showing their bikes as well. So it turned into a real bike-porn-fest! I have to say one of the high lights for me was over hearing a couple of older bikers discussing the bike in one of my artworks. Pretty chuffed I must say!

Anyhow, I’ve got a few photos of the event check em out! Oh and if you get some time between new and August 17 head down to Kustom Lane (10 Lutton Lane Hawthorn) and check it out, you wont be disappointed!

New show! Opening 26th July…

Sunday, July 19th, 2009

Hi all,

Well it looks like I’ve been giving the awesome opportunity of displaying some of my artwork at Kustom Lane Gallery again. This time round I’ll have two pieces, among a group, that will be lining the walls of the gallery for their ‘Chops n Bobbers 2′ Show. The emphasis of the show will be on the amazing kustom bikes from the 2 wheeler golden age with artwork on the walls supporting the theme.

The two pieces I’ll be showing are brand spankers done especially for the show, in fact I only finished them yesterday. I’ll be updating my gallery with the new work in the near future, probably following the show. So if you can’t make it down, check back in a couple of weeks!

Monday, June 8th, 2009

Hey all,

looks like I’m getting the opportunity to show my work again! Kustom Lane in Hawthorn is having a group showing over the next 5ish weeks leading up to their next show – Choppers and Bobbers. No theme on this one, just a show us what you’ve got show, I guess you’d say. I’ll have my The Good, The Bad and The Undead series as well as a few others on show. If you have some time between 13 June and  12 July, head on down to Kustome Lane and check the show out!

Exhibition hang over…

Thursday, May 28th, 2009

Well its not an alcohol hangover, just on the come down after the exhibition. It was really great to be showing my work in a public forum, even if it wasn’t a true show. Unfortunately with the ups come the downs and I’m feeling the post exhibition hangover now. I’m trying to tackle it by finishing this fkn website (!) and after that charging head long into some new art. Problem is with every slow down in art I hit, I find myself draw (no pun intended) to modifying cars! Its so fkn addictive, there really is nothing like cuttin’, weldin’ and wrenchin’. So here is my plan, draw modified car! Simple eh.

Anyway I’m getting off track, here are some pics of my recent exhibition space and the opening night. A bit of a tease until I get the gallery up, hopefully by the end of the weekend.
